The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear

One of the great things about movies by David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker is their ability to withstand repeat viewings. Overwhelmingly, the characters are dead serious about the crazy situations they find themselves in, which makes the dissonance able to produce the laugh that it does. Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley let their parts, zany thought they are, have emotions with just the right ring of corn.
