I don't think I've seen a John Cleese vehicle that I haven't enjoyed. A Fish Called Wanda is no exception. The humor here is fantastic. This is due not so much to the dialogue, but the incredible nature of the plot, which involves jewel-theft, deceit, trickery, and not a little sex. Cleese is comparatively staid next to Kevin Kline's Otto. Kline takes his performance of "a true vulgarian" completely over the top in a most charming way.
