I found the new version of Star Wars to be a great improvement over the original. The enhanced sound effects played a small role in that, but the new scene with Jabba and Han added a lot for how little screen time it occupies. I'm really disappointed that with the opportunity provided by the re-release, they didn't re-record the score, which is probably John Williams's most famous.
